I don't know whether you or the mountains are more beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your trip… (and I can't wait until Wednesday. :)
Here I've seen what I'll call a Left Hand equivalent to the Right quad experience of “heights”. On your previous blog entry I left a comment that I took another look at in each of the next few days in a row. The active question in those returns was, 'what the heck have I said, really?' Stream-of-consciousness doesn't always play well in this medium.
Tonight finding this new entry, and the other gone, was just like opening a door to a room no longer there. I had to catch myself at the threshold.
And what a gift! This is a space so more alive than any expectable rut of second-guesing doubt. The spacious groundlessness of this feels as open as those vistas of valley that span the peaks.
This entry makes it easier for me to appreciate the quality of teachers who are able to help save our lives from the treacherous spots of the Left Hand excersions. The dangers on the Left are equally perilous, the views, just as stunning.
